INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Paul George scored 36 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 90-87 victory over the Miami Heat on Friday night.
George, who missed almost all last season when he broke his right leg in a Team USA scrimmage, put the finishing touches on his best performance of the early season by icing the game at the free throw line with 4.1 seconds left.
Chris Bosh led the Heat with 21 points and 11 rebounds. In scoring 14 first-half points, Bosh helped the Heat build a 13-point lead. But a balanced effort by George and the Indiana bench allowed Indiana to creep back to tie the game at 49 at halftime.
Justice Winslow finished with 13 points and eight rebounds while Goran Dragic added 11 points for the Heat.
George Hill added 12 points and Jordan Hill had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers.

Heat: Miami was playing the second night of a back-to-back. The Heat beat Minnesota 96-84 on Thursday. … Like the Pacers, the Heat are now 3-3.
Pacers: Indiana backup point guard Rodney Stuckey left the game with a sprained right ankle midway through the second quarter and did not return. He had six points. His prognosis was uncertain after the game. … Monta Ellis recorded eight assists for the second consecutive game.
